In one of its 13 plants, located in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, management realized that the environmental conditions were not optimal for the workers due to consistent high heat loads. Field analyses showed the plant was not producing the total capacity of air conditioning necessary to safely distribute and circulate cool air inside the plant.
Eco BCG recommended a designed solution to replace their former roof top AC system with an indirect evaporative cooling technology because of it’s effective ability to cool and circulate fresh outside air, while using at least 80% less energy. In the first stage, 50 rooftop units were installed which also saved Gondi 390,000 kW/h in the first six months of operation.
